Happy Birthday Richard

My big brother is another year older today. Hope you have a great day Richard.
The secret I alluded to in a post prior to our holiday can be revealed. It is 2 LO's that I created as instructed by my good friend Petrina who conducted classes at the Scrapbooking and Papercraft Convention over the June long weekend. I had to test the instructions which were excellent and needed no changes. I hear the classes were very successful too.

Also have some cards to share that I made before I went away.

Have a great Wednesday.

Adelaide

We returned from Adelaide on Monday and stayed in Brisbane the night before driving home on Tuesday. The children and I really enjoyed our stay although the first morning was the coldest in 2 yrs! We found the cold very difficult to adjust to but luckily it wasn't quite as cold by the end of our stay. We had many rides on miniature steam trains and played in some great playgrounds. We visited my Aunt and Uncle who live on a little farm in the foothills of Adelaide. The farm is picturesque with cows, alpacas and abundant bird life on the small lake. The kids loved the huge rope swing and riding in Nigel's 106yr old Speedwell - vintage car. Of course we visited the zoo and saw the cuddly pandas. Luckily one was on the move whilst the other just lay about on hot rocks. We loved the graceful giraffes and cute little meerkats who were never still.
I attended my 20 yr school reunion whilst in Adelaide. It was very interesting to see how there have been many new innovations made but the old traditions still remain. After a tour of some of the school we went to an old "watering hole" which has been done up into a boutique pub and enjoyed many champers with the girls.
We stayed with Richard (brother), Trudie and the children's cousins, Alex and Lachlan at either end of our trip. It was lovely for all of us to catch up and the kids loved playing with their cousins.
This week has been filled with washing, washing, washing and work. I have a huge ironing pile to tackle this afternoon. School holidays have begun which will be relaxing and spent at home as we've already had our holiday.
Have a good week.

My Hard Worker

Nicholas is the 'Worker of the Week' and received his ribbon in front of the whole school this morning. He certainly has been trying hard at his work lately and continues his good record of top scores in his spelling.
Craig has finally got his dream boat. He took ownership of a 6mtr Kevlacat called Catapult on Monday and the monstrosity has been sitting on the driveway this week. Unfortunately I didn't get a photo before he went off fishing in it for a few days. I have heard recently that BOAT stands for 'bring on another thousand' which sounds about right considering it cost $400 to fill it with petrol!!!
The children and I are getting ready for a trip to Adelaide to visit Granny and Gramps and for my 20yr school reunion. We have bought thermals although had a taste of wintry weather up here in the last couple of days. We are hoping to visit the new pandas at the zoo and catch up with friends. We are leaving Daddy at home to look after Zoe and Holly (dog and cat).
I have some more LO's to share that I began at Sunday scrap on the weekend. Also have been busy making cards although can't share them all as some of the birthdays are yet to come.

Have a good weekend.
